BEN GLASS
I’m a writer with one foot in the world of TV writing and the other in advertising. As a Sr. copywriter I’ve worked primarily in social, broadcast, and radio at 6+ agencies, including Grey, Loop, and Trailer Park/Mutiny. I’ve written for bigtime brands like Disney, Volvo, Microsoft, Xbox, Hostess, Circle K, Febreze, and Dawn. At one point, when I was writing for @windows and @xbox the Instagram/Facebook/Twitter organic audience totaled over 103 million people. #wowzers
My TV experience includes being the Head Writer on a Netflix/Dreamworks series, staffing on Comedy Central and Disney shows, and developing shows with Amblin and Vimeo.
I’m client-friendly, a collaborator at heart, and use my penchant for strange, oddball approaches to push messaging into surprising territory. I pride myself in the ability to generate a constant flood of ideas for any audience and any product. As an Ogilvy nerd, I throw my passions behind the product/brand and seek to understand the audience by immersing myself in their respective world(s).
Brands I’ve worked for: Volvo, PC GAME PASS, Xbox, Disney, Microsoft, Microsoft Windows, Febreze, Dawn, Cortana, Microsoft Store, iHeartRadio, FitBit, Hello Fresh, ThirdLove, Ohio Lottery, Dulles International Airport, Certified Angus Beef.
Shops I’ve worked at: Loop, Grey, Trailer Park /Mutiny, Petrol Ad, Ayzenberg, Disney Marketing, Hart Inc., and Brentwood Studios.
In Hollywood, I’ve been on staff for 100+ episodes of scripted, produced, and aired television for Disney+, Netflix, and Comedy Central. I was most recently the Head Writer on The Bad Guys: The Series for DreamWorks/Netflix which premiered as the #1 kids show on the platform.
I’ve also published poems, short-stories, and non-fiction in over a dozen veritable literary magazines, including The New Republic. And before you ask: yes, I have a typewriter.
