Very online. Very fun. Xbox Game Pass provided a madcap playground to write in.

Psychonauts 2

For the release of Psychonauts 2 on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox wanted to do something special. Unique. Weird and eye-catching. My team figured there was one solution to this ask: Eurovision icon Daði Freyr. We worked with Freyr to concept a trippy, Psychonauts 2 themed performance for the ages.

Gaming sites and fans around the globe took notice.

For social messaging, I wanted to solve the problem of how to introduce the beloved characters of the game in a surprising way. The answer: fake collectible playing cards. We chopped the following video into IG stories, a Twitter post and an IG reel.

TWELVE Minutes

Twelve minutes is a game about a man stuck in a traumatic 12-minute time loop and must find a way to escape, save his wife, and uncover family secrets. For social we needed to figure out how to promote the game in ways that matched the FUN of the Game Pass tone. One way I thought to do that was a fake apartment listing for the apartment in the game:

I also thought of another way to remind fans to try the game, too. A devious, tense time loop game is surely part of every balance breakfast, right?
